
Inventra 3D
A competition for students in classes VIII - X to design 3D models that address real-world problems or improve existing systems. Participants will utilize 3D modeling software to create their design and present their solution through a video and a PowerPoint presentation.

Rules & Regulations
Participants must design a 3D model that solves a real-world problem or improves an existing system.
A PowerPoint presentation is mandatory and must explain:
- Problem Statement
- Solution Overview
- Research Summary
- Images/Screenshots of the 3D Model
Additional slides (e.g., backstory, working demo, feasibility, cost analysis, creative vision, future scope) are allowed and encouraged, but not mandatory.
Making a video showcasing the 3D model creation process is encouraged but optional.
Any 3D modeling software may be used (e.g., TinkerCAD, Fusion 360, Blender, SolidWorks, etc.).
All submissions must be original. Plagiarism or use of pre-designed models is strictly prohibited.
Categories
Assistive technology
Design 3D models for tools or devices that assist the differently-abled or elderly.
Eco-friendly devices
Design 3D models for products or systems that promote environmental sustainability, such as water-saving devices or biodegradable products.
Public infrastructure solutions
Design 3D models for improvements or additions to public infrastructure, such as urban furniture or modular bridges.
Disaster/emergency response tools
Design 3D models for tools, equipment, or systems used in disaster or emergency response situations.
Submission Protocol
Create a folder on Google Drive, named using the format '[School Name] - Inventra 3D'.
The folder should Include your:
- Video (.mp4 format recommended) must contain the Problem, Solution proposed, 3-D Model Demonstration and the Research work done. The video duration should be 3-5 minutes.
- The Powerpoint presentation (.pptx format) is expected to have all the necessary pointers as mentioned in the rules. The presentation should consist of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 9 slides.
- STL File of your 3D model.

Judgment Criteria

Functionality and Design | 20% | Evaluation of how well the 3D model is designed to serve its intended function and its overall aesthetic appeal and usability. |
Relevance to the Theme | 20% | Evaluation of how well the proposed solution addresses a real-world problem within the chosen category and its potential impact. |
Technical Complexity | 20% | Evaluation of the difficulty, sophistication, and skill demonstrated in the creation of the 3D model using the chosen software. |
Presentation and Communication | 20% | Evaluation of the clarity, structure, and effectiveness of the video and PowerPoint presentation in explaining the problem, solution, research, and model. |
